Who We Are
St. Barnabas Anglican Mission is located in Wilsonville, just a short drive from Brantford and Paris, Ontario. We are a local expression of Christ’s One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church. As a congregation of the Anglican Diocese of Canada, we also belong to the Anglican Church in North America (ACNA).
Each Sunday, we gather to hear God’s Word, pray, and receive Holy Communion.
We embrace what the Bible says about God, mankind, and salvation. The good news of the gospel is at the heart of everything we do: the God who is love sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to take away the sins of all people. Jesus lived a perfect life in accordance with the Torah, was crucified in solidarity with sinners, defeated death by His bodily resurrection, ascended into heaven, and now reigns in glory as Lord. Jesus is the ruler of the kings of the earth. The day is soon coming when Jesus will return in glory and fully establish his kingdom on earth.
Through Jesus, God freely offers forgiveness, righteousness, and eternal life to all who believe in the gospel promises. Apart from faith in Jesus, no one can be saved. We believe salvation is entirely by God’s grace, not earned by good works but received by faith. This grace leads us to new life in the Holy Spirit: joyful obedience, lifelong transformation, and the hope of resurrection.
Our worship is grounded in Scripture and shaped by the Book of Common Prayer (2019). This means that our liturgy, theology, and intellectual life are deeply rooted in the ancient Catholic Creeds and the historical documents of the English Reformation. We are grateful for the renewal of the Anglican Communion brought about by the Global Anglican Future Conference (GAFCON).
If you’re exploring the Christian faith or looking for a church home, you’re warmly invited to join us.

Joshua came to faith in Christ as a teenager while recovering from substance abuse at Hope House Ministries, a Roman Catholic group home in Port Jefferson, Long Island. That formative experience gave him a love for the beauty of holiness in Catholicism and a deep appreciation for the writings of St. Augustine.
Years later, after studying philosophy at the University of Toronto, Joshua heard God’s call to dedicate his gifts of writing and cultural discernment to the service of the Church within the Anglican Communion, where his Catholic and Evangelical convictions converged in the reverence of the Prayer Book tradition.
With the loving support of his wife and the joy of their two children, Joshua now serves as a priest and is pursuing a PhD in New Testament at Wycliffe College, where he focuses on the letters of St. Paul.
He hopes to use his teaching gifts in mission, particularly in theological education in the Global South. Close to his heart are his ancestral homelands of Namibia and South Africa, as well as Madagascar, where he recently served in short-term mission.
We'd love to hear from you! Whether you have questions about our church, need prayer, or want to plan a visit, we’re here to help. Please feel free to reach out.
